PM visits fire victims at DMCH

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina visited burn-wound people at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Sunday afternoon.

During the visit, the premier reached at the DMCH at 3:00pm and looked after the victims and asked the authorities concerned to provide them better treatment. A total of 37 people were ailing with burn injuries and among them five got severe trachea problems, hospital sources said. The burn victims were injured at Shahbagh and other areas in the city in the first spell of the 18-party called 71-hour blockade. Two people burnt in the bus torch at Shahbagh later succumbed to their injuries at the Burn Unit on Thursday.
