Bomb attack at ICT-1 judge’s village home

The village home of International Crimes Tribunal-1 presiding judge ATM Fazle Kabir came under bomb attack at village Chamagram under Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila in the early hours of Thursday.
However, no one was injured in the incident. The ICT-1 presiding judge now lives in Dhaka. A group of unidentified miscreants, in the early hours of Thursday, tried to set fire to a windowpane of the house.
But sensing the presence of on-duty police there, they hurled four or five crude bombs at the house around 1:10am and managed to flee, Jasim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Chapainawabganj police station told New Age.
Two windows were damaged during the attack, the OC said, adding that additional police forces were deployed near the house after the incident.
The OC said that a case was lodged with the police station in this connection but none was arrested till Thursday evening.
The Chapainawabganj deputy commissioner Sardar Sarafat Ali and police superintendent Bashir Ahmmed visited the spot.
