UN extends Taranco’s visit by 24-hr

UN Assistant Secretary General Oscar Fernandez Taranco’s Dhaka visit has been extended for one more day.

United Nations Bangladesh office confirmed the matter to banglanews on Tuesday. Sources said the press conference of Taranco would be held on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. Besides, the meeting between Taranco and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also has been rescheduled for Wednesday, the sources added. Deputy Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Ashraful Alam Khokan confirmed the matter. The UN envoy is likely to leave Dhaka on Wednesday night.
