Cocktail blast hurt cop in city

A police man was injured as miscreants hurled cocktails aiming him at Swadhinata Sarani in city’s Badda area on Sunday morning.

The victim is- Jaman, an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Badda police station. Sources said that miscreants hurled two cocktails at around 7:45am and one of them exploded near to the on-duty police man, leaving him injured. Meanwhile, another unexploded cocktail was recovered from the spot. Confirming the matter Badda Thana Officer-in-Charge Iqbal Hossain told banglanews, “The injured was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.”
