2 killed in road crashes in dists

Two people were killed in separate road accidents in two districts on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified Sujarul Islam, 22, of Natore and Nasir Uddin, 28, of Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj. Our Natore correspondent reports: A private car plunged into a roadside pond as its driver lost control over the steering Danyir para on Abdulpur-Salampur regional highway at around 6:00am, leaving the driver dead on the spot. Lalpur thana officer-in-charge Motiar Rahman said that on information, police force was sent to the spot. Banglanews Chapainawabganj correspondent reports: A human hauler (Nosimon) collided head-on with a power tiller tractor in Vitabari area under Gomostapur upazila at around 8:30am, leaving the driver of human hauler dead on the spot. Confirming the matter, Gomostapur thana officer-in-charge Firoz Ahmed told banglanews that the tractor was seized and the body was taken to thana.
